VR Club at UIUC

I was heavily involved with the VR Club at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, starting as a member and eventually serving as Vice President and President. The club became a space where students could explore modern virtual reality technology together, whether through hands-on demos, talks, or collaborative projects. As a leader, I helped shape meetings and events while keeping the club’s equipment and day-to-day operations running smoothly. I focused on building a welcoming, collaborative environment that encouraged curiosity and experimentation across technical and creative backgrounds. Leading the VR Club was a formative experience in community-building, leadership, and working with emerging technology.

My role involved setting up and managing multiple audiovisual systems across the convention, each with different technical requirements and schedules. I worked closely with event teams to ensure smooth execution and quick problem-solving during live programming. This experience emphasized careful planning, coordination, and staying adaptable in fast-paced, high-attendance environments.

MassVR

I worked as an Experience Coordinator at MassVR, helping run the day-to-day operations of the virtual reality experience. I led the user experience team to ensure sessions ran smoothly and consistently for clients. My responsibilities included troubleshooting VR hardware and software, resolving issues in real time, and maintaining reliable systems. I also regularly communicated with developers to share user feedback and coordinate technical fixes. This role strengthened my ability to balance technical problem-solving, team leadership, and client-facing communication in a fast-paced environment.

Octave Apartments

I worked as a Sales Representative and Community Assistant at Octave Apartments, supporting both leasing operations and day-to-day community management. My role involved interacting with prospective residents, giving property tours, and serving as a primary point of contact for guests and tenants. I also assisted with maintaining the building and ensuring shared spaces were welcoming and well organized. This position emphasized communication, reliability, and fostering a positive community atmosphere in a fast-paced, people-facing environment.
